Do I qualify for assistance?
Families with children 12 and under, receiving assistance from a government-funded program such as SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, Medicare, or TANF are eligible for assistance. Families with children 12 and under, experiencing a recent life event such as the loss of a guardian, a natural disaster, loss of employment, or long-term illness, are also eligible for assistance. Please note, proof of active enrollment in a government-funded program or proof of a recent life event (not to exceed 3 months) are required during the application process. To apply for assistance, please complete the Outreach Assistance Application.
What type of assistance do you offer?
The Outreach Program helps families experiencing hardships by offering food assistance, personal care items, and other basic necessities. Eligible families requesting food assistance may receive a care package containing non-perishable food items such as canned goods, dry beans, and pasta. Eligible families requesting personal care items may receive a care package containing feminine hygiene products, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hair care products, and other toiletries. Care packages containing other basic necessities may include new or gently used clothing or infant care items.
Why is JEM helping me?
At JEM, we understand everyone can use a little help now and then. When we experienced the devastating loss of our angel baby, John Evan, in 2015, we relied on our network of family and friends for support. Now that we are in a position to support families struggling with hardship and loss, we knew an outreach program would do a lot of good.
How is JEM helping me?
The JEM Foundation is able to help families because of charitable donations from individual donors. We receive cash and in-kind donations, which are used to fund our free programs and help families experiencing hardship and loss. Our dedicated team of volunteers work tirelessly to find in-kind donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, matching programs, and other funding opportunities, so the JEM Foundation can help as many families and children as possible.
